Personal page of Jose Martínez-González
Since 1993, Dr. Martínez-González has been studying vascular biology and the pathophysiological mechanisms of atherothrombosis. He has published more than 90 articles in scientific journals and specialized books.
Nowadays he leads the group of the Cardiovascular Research Center integrated in the Red Temática de Enfermedades Cardiovasculares (RECAVA, www.recava.com).
Research Interest: His research interests are centered on: 1) Analysis of the nuclear receptor NOR-1 in atherosclerosis, 2) Modulation of angiogenesis by hypoxia and pro-inflammatory and proatherogenic agents and 3) Identification and characterization of new biomarkers of ischemic cardiomyopathy.
