CSIC-ICCC Doctoral Fellowships

11/01/2008 The Cardiovascular Research Center (CSIC-ICCC, created by association of the CSIC and the Catalan Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences (ICCC)), placed in Barcelona, is looking for candidates to develop two Doctoral Fellowship in Biomedicine.
The CSIC-ICCC aim is to carry out research in the field of cardiovascular diseases, with a high degree of international proficiency.

The Projects:
(1) Identification of the novel genes associated with the initiation and progression of atherothrombosis.
(2) Factors responsible for the development of neovascularization and consequent thrombosis in patients with unstable carotid plaques.

Requisites of the candidates:

Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Chemistry or Medicine, completed after 2004, with a media of 2 or higher. For the project number (2) a good English level is required.

Experience in IT, laboratory techniques in cell and molecular technology; and cell culture manipulation will be an advantage. If it is possible, bring two reference letters.

Schedule: from 9am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)
Retribution/Payment: 14.400-15.000 euros/gross year
